Publication Ethics

1. Responsibilities of Authors

• Submit original work that has not been published elsewhere.
• Ensure that all listed authors have made meaningful contributions.
• Provide accurate data, methods, results, and references.
• Obtain required ethical approval and informed consent where applicable.
• Disclose funding sources and relevant conflicts of interest.
• Correct errors discovered after publication and cooperate with the editorial office.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

• Evaluate manuscripts fairly and independently.
• Maintain confidentiality during editorial handling.
• Make decisions based on academic merit, relevance, and ethical compliance.
• Manage conflicts of interest transparently.
• Investigate credible allegations of misconduct.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

• Provide objective, respectful, and evidence-based reviews.
• Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts.
• Identify relevant published work that has not been cited when appropriate.
• Declare conflicts of interest and decline reviews when impartiality is affected.
• Complete reviews within the agreed time whenever possible.

4. Plagiarism and Similarity

All submissions may be checked for plagiarism, inappropriate text reuse, duplicate publication, and other forms of academic misconduct. The editorial office may request clarification, reject a manuscript, retract a published article, or take other appropriate action depending on the seriousness of the case.

5. Duplicate Submission and Redundant Publication

Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal. Substantial overlap with previously published or submitted work must be disclosed clearly.

6. Research Misconduct

Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, manipulation of images or data, unethical authorship practices, peer-review manipulation, and undisclosed conflicts of interest are considered serious ethical concerns.

7. Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern

When a published article contains a significant error or raises credible ethical concerns, IJOMRC may publish a correction, retraction, or expression of concern, as appropriate. Decisions will be based on the evidence available and the principles of publication integrity.

8. Complaints and Appeals

Authors and readers may submit a documented complaint or appeal to the editorial office. Complaints are reviewed fairly and confidentially, and the journal may request supporting evidence before reaching a decision.

9. Artificial Intelligence and Authorship

Artificial intelligence tools may be used for language improvement or research assistance when transparently disclosed and when their use does not compromise originality, confidentiality, or research integrity. AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the submitted work.

10. Ethical Framework

IJOMRC seeks to align its editorial practices with recognized principles of responsible publishing and may update its policies in response to developments in scholarly communication and publication ethics.
